This is the first volume of earth and environmental science probes in the Uncovering Student Ideas series. The Introductory chapter for this volume describes 25 features of formative assessment probes and provides elementary, middle school, and high school vignettes. C: The History of Planet Earth. A; Evidence of Common Ancestry and Diversity. A: Earth Materials and Systems.
